Possible blood clot?

Hi folks:

Well, Jim's breathing difficulty may be a blood clot in the lung. They are testing now. I don't know too much more than that. Gonna plant my broccoli and go to the hospital.

News from the front...this just in

Kate and William are married. LOL.

Okay. silly me. No, I didn't get up at 4:00, but wish I would have. I don't know why I'm interested, but perhaps it's the "other"worldness of it all. I bet my old friend Elaine watched every second of it.

Well, Jim's breathing difficulty is not lung related, but rather pain related, so says he. The lung people concur, so this is good.

The pain is back related, so says he, and I believe he is right. Something has to be done. Not sure what.

Well, guess that's it for now. I'm going to wait for the first kiss. Pathetic, huh?

Back to the hospital

Yes, you read that correctly. Jim is back in the hospital. Pain and can't breathe.

I don't have much energy or time to feel, write, explain, have relationships, breathe and even...well, never mind, tmi.

The cool thing is in our bible study, I am learning soooooooooooooooooooo much. It is so good. God is so cool. Even when he ticks me off.

update

Hi:

Well, here's an update. Our trees are almost 100 percent down now...Oh, you wanted to know about Jim's health? I thought you were wondering about the trees we're having cut down. See, these trees have been...

Okay, just kidding. So far, nothing is growing, and the pic-line is OUT. That means the medicine worked and the infection is most likely gone.

Now, Jim will have to see the cardiac doctor to see if the vegetation has shrunk. So, this is a good thing.

You might think we are ecstatic. It's weird. We aren't. By the same token, if the infection were still there, we wouldn't be heart broken either. I guess we've come to that place where we have truly said, not our will, Lord, but yours, and can just go with it, whatever may come. Now by that, I don't mean that we aren't happy. We certainly are, but it's not this "oh, we can exhale now" kind of thing. I guess we're just use to the bumps in the road and don't notice them as much. But when/if we hit smooth payment, it's always a good thing. So, we are thankful, yes. But still holding on tight. :) One thing is for sure. Jim sure makes the journey interesting...hmmm.

Pray for Jim's nausea. We're not sure why, but he's always on the verge of tossing his cookies lately.

So, there you have. If you want to know about the trees, well, let me tell you, they...

update

First, I'm not sure if people check old posts. Sometimes I reply to a remark someone makes, so, just fyi, but since I'm here, I just want to say thanks Susan and Agnes. (Judy and MJ, too, but I talk to you guyses).

For those of you who don't know either, Susan is someone I met years ago at church. I didn't know her well, but knew of her well. She has had many health sufferings. And Agnes, we met at the NIH. She had a stem cell transplant too. She said that we were the first people they met who had a stem cell transplant when they arrived and they were so encouraged by us. LOL. WHO KNEW....... Encouraged by us? I bet that's changed. LOL. However, she is doing excellent. Keep it up Agnes.

As for Jim. No news yet. Not until Wednesday. HOWEVER... when we called the hopt. they did say that so far nothing has grown. According to the doctor that is very encouraging. So....keep them prayers acoming.

Happy Easter

Musings

First of all...

Gaz, you crack me up. I had to go and read what it is that I wrote in my last post. I was thinking, I was talking about my stupid garden at a time like this. But then I see your poetic...ness.

So, staying with the garden lingo. You ARE right. a new irrigation system is a bit drastic. He's been on a bit of fertilizer for a while. The problem is that doctors are full of horse manure, and they ignore the weeds that are strangling the life out of the lettuce.

So, having said all that... :)

I am sick, and I broke my toe. I haven't had a cold in 2 years, which is amazing for me. I take a bit of fertilizer, too. I broke my toe by accident, and it's hurty.

The cold thing is okay since I haven't been sick in a very long time, but I sure can feel the spiritual attacks. Too much time to lay around and think and feel. Not good for me.

Jim goes to the doctor today. And on Friday, he will have his blood culture to see if the meds worked. Stay tuned... sheesh.

Here's the dealeo

Howdy folks:

Well, Jim has 3 more days of meds after today, and then he is done. He will then wait 3 or 4 days and go to the hospital to have cultures done. Those cultures will tell us whether the meds worked with the heart infection or not.

The rest of the story...now, I'm not sure about all this, but here's the best info I have as of yet. If the cultures come back negative, that's good of course, but I think they will do that scope test again to see if the vegetation has disappeared or shrunk. That's all I know. I have no idea what they will do if the infection is still present or if the infection is gone, but the vegetation is still there, etc. I know open heart surgery has been mentioned with a valve replacement, but really, I don't have any info on that, so I won't speculate on that. I just share what the docs had said early on. So it looks like we have a few more weeks until we know something concrete.

Jim said that if he had to take these meds any longer, he feels like he would just die. He is looking a bit yellow under the gills. Poor guy. Sorry, I haven't posted. We've just been trudging along, so.

Okay, keep praying.
