A place where friends and family can come and get an update on Jim and Gloria. A place to share pictures, laughs, wisdom, prayers, gripes and probably a few tears, too.

late night, day 12
Well, this prayer request is for me. I have NO IDEA what I did, my lower back hurts so much I almost can't move. So, pray for me.
boy do I relate to that! STay off the computer! And try not to use your arms too much. The best thing that I found to help my lower back heal was to do a lot of stretching. Actually, lying on the floor on my stomach was the only position that I could handle without crying out in pain! It seemed to really help to stretch my head backwards while lying on my stomach. The more I stretched the less pain I felt but it has taken WEEKS to be able to function normally. I hope yours isn't as bad as all that. I love you and will pray.
I was afraid to stretch too-until I tried it. Go slow at first and let your body tell you what is and isn't right. I'm still tossing myself on the floor for a good stretch especially after bowling on Saturday! It's just taking a long time to get back to normal. Get on-line and find what will work for you (I know I told you to stay off the computer but you do need some research). I found the stretches that pertained to the exact spot of pain during an on-line search. love you
Argh! I saw that photo pop up and thought it was Jim before I read what you wrote! Don't do that! We keep praying and missing you. You'll have a choice of two small groups when you come home. Our group has split (in a planned, prayed for and healthy way). The Satarianos are in one and the Smiths are in another. Maybe you can come to both and catch up on all the "care" that care groups do and you've not been able to experience in person. LOL Please take care of your back.

Good grief...I will pray for your back...and tell Jim to get rid of the magnifying glass! :-)

Oh my goodness, K. It took me a few to catch that "magnifying glass" comment. I loved it.
Rach,I thought about stretching, but was afraid to.

Love,
Amy (for the Smiths)
sorry Amy. Guess I should have put Jim's pic first. You know, the big spot. ;)
I can't believe the Sarat...and Smith's were broken up. Either way, can't wait to be home and seeing all of you guys.
