Happy Memorial Day. It's pretty memorial for us. For some unknown reason Jim's doing better. We can't figure out why. Then I came on and saw sweet Hannah prayed for Jim. That has to be it.
Well Jim decided to go off all meds, starting with his pain pills. But he started slowly and just went off the pain pills. The pain didn't change much for the first 5 days. Then it got real bad. So, he decided to take one pain pill in the am. Since that day, he's been doing better. He'll get out of bed and actually help me with something and do pretty well the rest of the day. Be early evening, he's back in bed, but it's amazing and we are so pleased and happy. And scared. We don't know why, and we have to fight the fear that it will go away again. I am serious about it being Hannah's prayer. She is a little girl who has spina bifida who the Lord laid it on her heart years ago (at the age of 4 or 5?) to pray for Jim, and 5 years later, she still is praying. Amy and her family are amazing. I still miss you guys.
Okay, back to Jim. So, this week we went out to dinner twice and then yesterday Jim actually drove himself to Home Depot. THIS IS AMAZING STUFF.
If you go out to eat with your loved ones, don't take it for granted. If they drive you anywhere, don't take it for granted. If they do laundry, dtifg, if they pay bills, dtifg, if they do dishes, dtifg, if they....
John and Leah came in for a wedding and I got a ton of help from my son. And now I have an amazingly bad cold. I hate summer colds. So, I'm in bed playing plants versus zombies. I feel like a zombie. Winston my grand dog is my favorite dog. We swam in the pool together for hours. I couldn't get him out. No wonder I'm sick.
Anyway, I just had to come on and tell all of you what a wonderful blessing we had. I pray it continues.
Us
ps. Jim said, maybe we could even make it to our cottage. If you and a loved one can go to a cottage, dtifg.
